Default Replacing my heater matrix on the weekend-WISH ME LUCK!

Anything I need to look out for, any special precautions? I have got a quick How2 from vvoc here so hopefully it will be straight forward enough.

Just bought a 2nd hand matrix aswell so ready to go!

My car is a Vec-B 51-reg 2.2 SRI DTI and the matrix I have bought is the one with the 2 holes on the side, NOT the one with the pipes coming off. My car has AC.

I have bought the right one yeh?

Oh, and on the new one, in some places I notice that there are pieces of hot melted glue stuck around, does this need to be re-applied anywhere?

nah the one with two holes on the side is correct for a car with air con the two holes secure metal piping to the matrix by use of a single screw

Nah mate, its not. The one for my car with AC is the one with two holes on the left which are about 4 inch's apart, they are held in place with a round black ring clip type.

The one with the holes closer together is the wrong one, its either for the climate model or Non AC.

Oh well, just been to th scrapper now and have just bought another one.

Going to fit it in 10 mins, just having some brekkie!

    Wish me luck!

I have just finished folks! What a pain in the 4r5e! Put it together and the blooming thing leaked. Had to undo it all and then re-seat! Now its baking inside the car!
