Hi Andy,
post the bar to the bottom mate- a few members have experienced heavy
"shadows" when posted to the top

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
balls lol just done them to the top and put lights back in, best get them out again. cheers for the reply mate.
How do you change the position of the bar?? I had HIDs Direct kit in my last veccy and they did show some shadowing but I just thought "well its cos there not really designed for these headlight units".
Would like to resolve this problem if I'm going to fit them to my new vec.
just turn the bulb thats all.
It's not really a case of them not being designed for it mate - if you look at either the early GSi's or the VXR's without the full AFL the headlight design is exactly the same. The issues come when people install them in headlights that use the old reflector system, whereas ours all use projector (elipsoidal) lenses...
By all accounts this isn't the same as with halogens - they don't heat up the same way so a bit of grease on them isn't going to cause any issues mate. better safe than sorry thought I agree...
For more info, chekc out my handy guide I made...:

by the way do you mean turn the bulb (glass) on the bulb its self or turn the whole bulb in the light unit?? Because I can't turn the bulb in the light unit cos it has a preset position for it top be in.
turn it in the light unit
