Default First Detail with a Kestrel DA on my black Vectra

    Hi guys.

Following on from our MEET at Harry's last Saturday, where I finally got to use my new Kestral DA that I had for crimbo off my good lady, I thought it was about time to give it a go.

I'd already washed the car a few days prior so started with a 2 bucket wash with Megs Shampoo Plus then dry, wheels were cleaned with Autobrite Very Cherry wheel cleaner.

Next was a quick clay as the paintwork was in pretty good shape, then blue taped all the important bits and cracked on. Started with Megs #83 Cleaner Polish to remove some light swirling and holograms, then onto Megs #80 Speed Glaze. Already the results were amazing having only polished by hand in the past.

Time was getting on so had to pack up. Continued at home on Sunday with another 2 bucket wash just to remove and light dust and then applied Poorboys Wet Mirror Finish. Absolutely over the moon with the finish.

All glass cleaned with Autobrite 3D Glass cleaner, wheels cleaned with Autosmart Reglaze and tyres treated with Megs High Endurance Gloss.
Will give it a coat of Megs #16 once the weather warms up a bit.
Should have taken more closer 'Before' shots of the paintwork but there was very minimal swirling and wanted to crack on.

Big thank you to Harry for all your help and the use of your premises and to Mark at Autobrite also for your tips and supplies!

So here are the pics. All comments are welcome, good or bad.

All taped up ready. As you can see, the paintwork was not that bad.

    And the finished article!

    Cheers guys,
    Paul.

    Cheers Rich!

She certainly did. Best I let her drive it again now as it's been in the garage all week; didn't want to to get wet!
