    Default CD70 Navi Q's (Nooob)

Here are some more of my zillion Elite new owner questions

    The manual is great......not

    1. Is there a way of selecting the Altitude units in the Nav for current location?? It comes up with "Yards", who the heck measures that perameter in yards??
    2. Couldn't see how to "add" to the address book. I cleared the previous owners stuff and set my own "Home" but didn't see that option.
    3. When scrolling through settings, I came to the volumes screen. Most of the Selectables ie TA and Ext cause the radio to blare out really loud even though they are set to -12 and main radio volume is low. I am missing a point here somewhere.... lol
    4. TMC, I've read many people say, have it grab info from Classic FM. Mine says Auto ATIS?? or similar....confused.
    5. Are there any CD70 for Dummies guides around as opposed to the everso helpful manual.

Sorry to be a pain, search is great but alot of stuff uses 3 letter abbreviations which search "says No!" lol

    In answer to your questions
    1) On main screen, press settings button and choose units,
(UK, Europe, Japan etc...if you want metres, then you will need Europe, but this will change all settings / distances to metric)

    2) To add an address, enter the address as a destination, and then save it. same with home etc.

    3) I set my main volume to 12, Navi announcements to 8, and others to a similar setting. Start up volume is set to about 6 so I don't cack myself when I first turn on.
And SDVC - speed controlled volume...factory setting is 2. It is used to increase radio volume as you increase road speed...compensates for engine and road noise changes.

    4) Classic FM and Real (formerly century radio) are the main two stations used, however Auto will just seak out any suitable stations in your location.

    5) Nope, no dummies guides..just us helpful forum members

feel free to ask any more questions!!

A way around this is to do it via google

eg, type ( "led" site:www.vectra-c.com ) into google (As per what you see inside the brackets, but don't include those as well)

This will force google to only search for that phrase on vectra-c.com.

Obviously replace 'led' with whatever 3 letter word you're searching for.
