mmm, not sure buddy, mine is only out from Vx after having a new inlet manifold and there was no mention of needing a new cambelt. I had my timing belt done when there were changing the manifold but only because it was gona need done in another 2k miles,

cambelt is no longer required to be removed when changing the inlet manifold as per Vauxhalls guide, the cambelt kit is approx £90.... Would be advisable to do IF your due if not then leave it alone

edit, changed 10k ago, tell them to leave it alone and do the job without touching it...

I had mines changed when I had the manifold doen and thank God, as the water pump was goosed and could of went any time.

Personally if you can afford it get it done especially if it is due as the guys have said.

thanks for the replys guys , just to make it clear the service book is stamped up to 70k miles with the cambelt and tensioner done on that service , the car has now done 80k miles so there is no way in my opion that after 10k miles it should need replacing ........

But What they rekon is it might have to be removed to change the manifold which i think is stupid ,

and i just wanted to check that you can change the manifold without removing the belt

    Thanks
