    Default map sensor

    just had codes read came back with map sensor fault, can anyone tell me where it is, so i can check first before i buy

    Give us a clue, what engine you got?
    For MAP sensor read boost sensor. If your is a diesel read the how to clean CDTI boost sensor thread. It says in there.

    engine is 2.0 dti y20dth code fault for map sensor was p0105

    Ok, remove the engine cover.
    At the front right hand side of the engine you will see a large black hose.
    This joins the inlet manifold. just after the join and between the inlet manifold and head lies the MAP sensor. To remove undo the plug and remove the bolt/torx bolt. The MAP has a small rubber seal around it so is a tight fit just need to gently wiggle it out.
    Should take less than 30 mins to replace from bonnet up to bonnet down.

    Default AA Clark Limited Bracknell

    AA Clark in Bracknell just tried to charge me £288.05 + VAT to change the MAP Sensor. Took me 20 minutes; oh and the sensor £44.00 + VAT.

    I expect the mechanics dont get £690 an hour, I know they have overheads but that is ridiculous
