been offered a straight swap on this........ 1.6 16v with FSH, 51000 miles, these any good or to be avoided? im thinking it might be easy to sell on in the summer?

nice car's and if it has the electric opperated roof then that's a big bonus....they are ok, just check service history etc...

hope you dont want to put anyone / thing in the back though as there is naff all room

thanks will ask about the hood. Just been looking around and i reckon its woth roughly a grand more than i have my car up for so a staight swap would be a good deal for me! Will approach it with some caution i think and maybe do a hpi check.

IMO, the 1.6 in the Astra is just too wee an engine for the size/weight of the car. And you'd be going backwards in terms of spec and comfort.

If it was my money, I would not do the swap.

Don't get me wrong, I do really like the Mk4 Astra (I have had 2) but would prefer a Vectra anyday.

sister in law just bought one of these,think its on a y plate or thereabouts,having nothing but problems on it,but hey it`s a lot older than this one

i've drove the 2.2 version mate and even that wasn't fast.....1.6 is going to really struggle!

And drink the juice!

Very slow and all the mk4 cabs have an electric roof.
