No claims.......GONE!!

Ive just rang my insurance company to send out my proof of no claims discount because they were too expensive( £1000!!) and they said they are in my girlfriends name and not mine! I asked why and they said it was because she was the main driver on my policy! Ive never claimed in 10 years, and my girlfriend has only been driving 9 years!
How can i get them back now????

Cheers big pete. No its my car, and my policy, just she uses the car more than me for work, so had her as main user, which i thought was the right way to do things!

if you have been a named driver for more than 4 yrs and have'nt made a claim some ins companys will offer you the equiveance ncb, they did it for my wife when she got her own car after driving on my policy , ask them what they can offer...

I was always told to make sure you ask about NCB if you're a named driver, as some companies like to **** you over with **** like this.

Yes, we could do that on our scheme.

I've never heard of a company just switching over policies because someone is the main user.

Normally, you keep the policy in the person's name & note the system of the main user.

the insurance is in my name, the car is in my name, im the policy holder with 9 yrs no claims, yet because i said she was the main driver of my car, they said the no claims go to the named MAIN driver. I said its not right but thats all they kept saying. HSBC is/was the insurer!!
