It's only been a week, but I hope I never have to set foot in a Passat again, it was the biggest let down I have known! But thats another story!
Anyway, went down to Marshall Vauxhall this morning to pick up the Signum. For those who didn't see the project thread, the car went in for the following.
Bonnet and front wings painted due to being keyed.
Front bumper and spoiler stripped and re-painted.
Re-Bumper replaced along with bumper iron and PCD.
Whole car mopped to remove any marks on the paint.
Rear bumper exhaust insert painted body colour, but to be honest I am not convinced by this. It may have to be done Anthracite.
She has done 50,000 miles now so this should keep her fresh again for a while.
All the plastic trim on the bumper was replaced, now going back to Signum grills with the colour coded "Insignum" grill which I think looks soooooo much better.
So here is the finished result.
In the bodyshop just being finished off by the valleters
Then home for a complete detail which consisted of the following :-
Snow foam and Rinse
Washed with Meguiers Pro Shampoo Plus
Dried using drying towel and Chemical guys last minute detailer
Body Glazed using Poor Boys Black Hole
Body Sealed using Jetseal 109
Body Waxed using DoDo Juice Supernatural Caunuba Wax
Trim and Tyres treated with Chemical guys new look gel
Wheels treated with Chemical Guys Wheel Guard
Then, whilst I was at it the interior was detailed.
Full Vacuum

Finally, I put the car away in the garage for the night! Our Land Rover can have the garage back tomorrow night!
I am well pleased with the results! It'll do me now for another year at the least.
