    Default Respect.

Just spent the last four hours cleaning, polishing, MEG 21 and Cannuba wax. I'm knackered. The Silver Lightning colour doesn't really show the results as well as a 'flat' colour.

All I can say is huge respect to you guys and girls who do the full detailing thing. I was losing the will to live towards the end. (didn't help that it kept drizzling every time I put some wax on the car )

I think I'm 'lacking' somewhat in technique, as well as running out of polishing cloths! Are you meant to have a huge pile of cloths at the end.

I just wish I had something to clean. I'm going to have to sit inside watching the World cup and Formula 1 and drinking Bud this weekend.

Ho hum.. If I get too bored I might give the Punto a rinse off.

Primera's long gone, Mark! I'm currently charging about in a Zaffy 1.9CDTi. It's everything I hate in cars. Family oriented, dare I say a bit fuddy duddy. It's also a base model.

I'm enjoying it so much, It's a total laugh to drive, goes like a scalded ****. Brilliant car!

No Pics MLC, all that work and no pics, shame.

As a keen detailer, I find i don't have the time to do all the car with the full monty.
What I do is break it down into managable pieces. A month ago after washing the car, I de-tarred, clayed, the roof. 4 Star paint cleaner, PB SSR1, sealant and Nattys Wax, just on the roof alone.
Two weeks later I did the rear hatch, same process. Last week I did the bonnet and two wings. It stops you getting knackered, running out of cloths, etc. Plus I allows me to try new products, samples, etc.

During a full detail I will use around 40 cloths of various types and grades

Too dark when I finished. I think I'll do the 'bit at a time' thing now. Good idea.

Once car is clean use #21, leave to dry on car then spray with quick detailer and re-apply, leave to dry then buff off, hard work but the results are good
