Default Places to eat around Doncaster/Scunthorpe

I am (with a few mates)going down there for a golf weekend in march and

was wondering if anyone down there could tell me where the good pubs are.

We don't want to get pi$$ed or anything as we want to enjoy the golf but

just want somewhere to relax and enjoy a good meal.

We are staying near the junction of M18/M180 and would prefer something

close to that but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanx for your help as always.

    Ian

We went to Donny last feb on a stag do.
Day at the races then into town for food and drink !
Don't know the place names but we went into an arcade where there was an all you can eat Chinese buffet ( and we tried to eat the lot but failed - only just mind !) and there was a couple of bars next to it. Really enjoyed it.
Stayed at a hotel called 'The Caribbean' that was owned by 2 brothers who were kick boxer champs, so they took no cr@p but let us get blotto til after 3 in the morning (can't remember going to bed so may have been much later than that !!!)

Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !

If you want Chinese try Harry Carrs in Brigg - just behind the market place or if you want a country pub Sutton Arms in Scawby - does excellent pub food and good beer and is less than two miles from Forest Pines.
We use FP to put up many overseas business visitors then often take them to the Sutton Arms and they are very impressed as it is a typical country pub.

If your not staying at FP but want something en route to Woodhall Spa try Lincoln - Wig and Mitre at the top of Steep Hill is excellent but expensive, but loads of other good places.
