There's a rule that if you buy a GSi you have to give your previous car to the first person who tells you this rule. Are you dropping it off or shall I collect?
these are pretty bullit proof if you dont like i have mine up for sale
pull the dip stick out see if smoke comes out i went to view one and not sure if that is normal but my dad said its breathing or something like that so i didn't take the risk camebelt should be done evey 60,000 miles i think so check it has been done or knock the price off if its needing 1,i bought the 2.0t now i have it remaped i know it will keep up with a gsi maybe a few mph less top speed but i dont know to much on the gsi hopefully it has fsh
the cam belt is 80k or 8 years accotdint=g to the book and vauxhall what ever comes first
there you go maybe you should take someones phone number who has a gsi i know when i buy i car i want it and i try to dismiss its faults but don't make my mistakes
Im happy to talk GSI if you want, just pm me
P
yuppp it is a Gsi it hasnt got any of the common problems as the 1.9 cdti 150 has it?? whats it like on fuel???
mine is currently doing 18.4mpg according to the onboard computer, so not cheap
Generally GSi's are pretty solid but personally i am going througha bad period with mine
They are awesome cars though and extremely fun
Nope none of the faults that the rubbish 1.9 150's have, although saying that they do have a dmf but then all vx's do now I believe.
Mines doing 22mpg round town and maybe 35 on a run. Cambelt 80k/8 years although get it done 40-60k to be on the safe side. Don't worry too much about mayo under the oil filler cap as its so long and its in the cold air it always condenses. just check for oil in the rad headder tank, not that there are many problems anyway
