    Default possible clutch problem

    Hi does anyone know what may cause these symptoms
    noise from gearbox area when sitting at tickover alsoscrapping noise from clutch if you push pedal slightly down but disappears when fully depress, sat in neutral rev engine to around 1000/1200 rpm and car shakes press clutch and it stops , its a 150 bhp 1.9 tdi sri 2007 car ,still under warranty so need to find out so i can get it back and sorted.

    its your dmf mate...........do a search , there is loads on here about it....sorry not cheap.

    but don;t matta under warrenty

    Very common problem your dual mass flywheel is fubard expensive job lucky you have warranty(i dont!).

    do you need to fit a new clutch with it aswell ,just to give them a real heartr attack

    Yeah you need to fit a new clutch kit at the same time. Lucky for you its still under warranty. Mine was out of warranty by 3 weeks! , cost me £500 just to do it myself.
