    Default Slow laptop

    Hi my laptops running pretty slow, does anyone know any good programms that will speed it up

    Check this.

    Go ito run and type msconfig. A box will come up. Click the start up tab and take out all the ticks other than you virus checker firewall etc . Then reboot you will find a difference.

    add more Dilithium Crystals...

    tbh, I would recommend formatting it and re-installing Windows. Windows is so rubbish at cleaning up after itself, it's recommended to reinstall once a year!

    Try Window Washer from Webroot... I use it and its great

    I do use Executive Software's Diskeeper to keep all the files in premium condition
    I use Desktop Anti-Virus, Desktop Anti-Malware and Anti-Crimeware, Desktop Firewall and Gateway Stateful Inspection firewall with Unified Threat Management, content filtering, Gateway Anti-Virus, Two security zones on the network, and Hosted Email & Web Security filtering traffic inbound and outbound in the cloud.

    Do you think thats about ok...

    Oh.. and 128 bit encryption for End Point Security, hard drives and removable storage devices, and remote backup for DR

    Ensure no programs are running then goto:

    START
    RUN
    TYPE %temp%
    DELETE all the files in there (some may be in use so ignore them and delete the rest)

    Restart and you should be better.
