whats this button for ?

i have a 2003 model vectra 1.8 duelfuel and this button is on the dash but when pressed does not light up . pic is upside down wont let me flip it

Its your alarm indicator..flashes when armed

ie if a dog or someone is in the car and you locked it..it wont sense them and wont go off..

When you arm your alarm look in the window and you will see it flash solid then start to blink this is it armed

ok cheers for that . just a quickie before i go (sorry wrong subject ) but on my key fob i press to open boot but just get a split second hazard flash and boot wont open . wont open on double click ? sick of opening with key

If you want to use this, when you have taken keys out of ignition, press the button and then lock the car as normal. As already said perfect for if you need to leave a dog in the car

That's strange, I'm sure mine works on 2nd click of the unlock button?

Should have a boot release on keyfob,does boot open if you press button on drivers door
