Default Does de-icer do any damage to bodywork....

    rubber seals, or strip wax?
I would hate to think that I spend ages waxing a car to find that my missus is stripping it off going for the easy option of using de-icer?

As deicer is a solvent i would imagine after prolonged use and if it is left sat on the paint work it would strip the wax and break down rubber

All you can do is try and bring it back through buffing/polishing.... If not its a respray.... It depends how bad it is whether it will come up again...

It will strip wax, but tbh I wouldnt worry. If you worry about De Icer you wouldn't use screen wash either. In the winter Safety take precedence over vanity every day of the week IMO.

Hardens rubber seals and cheap wipers, Aerospace 303 is great at softening and protecting rubber.

To fix the issue with the wife bin the de icer each time you find it in the car ;-)

Before the winter I always go round with wd40 on all the seals keeps them soft and it resists water hence it will resist any de-icer. I think thou you would have to use it everyday and leave it on for it to do damage
