Default Vec been reversed into - repair advice

One of the lads who i work with reversed into my car on friday in his L200 pickup, smashed osr light bent tailgate squashed chrome boot strip and split bumper. i wasnt in the car it was parked up but he came in and told me straight away, got all his insurance details and went online to inform my insurance (swift cover).
a mate of mine told me not to go through my insurance company but to go through an accident management company (he is getting me the details) as he reckons i wont have to pay my excess (£500) and they will provide me with a like for like replacement car for the duration of repair.

has anyone had any eperience with these companies as i would much rather not pay the excess and wait to get it back

you should not have to pay your exess anyway , i take it he admitted liability and he contacted his insurance company wich in turn will contact you to repair the car at their repairers or a repairer of your choice and they will supply you with a car of similar size as it was not your fault hope this helps you

I agree, use your own insurance company and request the repairs are carried out at an outlet of your choice
You may have to pay the excess up front, but you can claim that back

Yes he has admitted liability as my car was parked in the car park and i wasnt even in it. Should his insurance contact me and do the repair as i have already contacted my insurance and they are dealing with it.
