Take out all the unnecessary weight - spare tyre, tool kit, big amp in the boot, maybe even rear seats.

from what i have seen if you are serious about the take off, buy some old 16'' steel wheel's and used slick's, put these on and give them a damn good warm up ( big burnout style) before you hit the light's....

mate only my opinion just think spending money to send your car up a drag strp to see how quick it does a quarter of a mile is a waste of money ......1min 10 secs lol

mate its front wheel drive it will spin if you really want to make a difference to your e you'll need to strip out the full car, s again i really cant see the point its not a top end sports cars sorry... if you really want to experience speed GET A BIKE

Go for it, if you want to why not. Perhaps minimise the wheel spin in 1st initially, they put the power down ?

The only thing that will help you I'm afraid is practice and 'feel'. With plenty of practice you will get the feel of how your particular vehicle reacts.... how much throttle to use... how fast to bring in the throttle.... how quickly to release the clutch....

or.... watch the lights then floor the gas, dump the clutch and hope some bloke in a lab somewhere many years ago wrote software for the traction control on your car that was designed for a drag strip and not the public highway.

Before you hit the Pod find a nice safe chunk of reasonable, smooth tarmac on some private land somewhere.... and practice practice practice. Get used to the feel of exactly where your clutch bites and the sound of the engine as you put in enough power but not too much. There is no such thing as too much practice.
