Hi all, has anyone purchased the BSR ppc recently, i looked at the
price on the website and thought it was very steep ! they are asking
832 euros, ( £719 ) i'm sure it was about £550 ! or are they stinging you
for the two years support !

yep it was about £550.then the bombshell about having to pay for yearly support .
So you could be correct with your assumption that thewy are charging in advance for the aftersales service..............also might be that the euro is that much stronger against the pound now
www.TorquingBHP.co.uk give just as good results with their remap, which costs £300+VAT.
no...........
I don't think it's much to do with the Euro rate. The PPC price in September last year was still about £550 and the Euro rate hasn't changed much at5 all since then.
BSR charge about £60/year for the service charge which would still only bring it up to about £670 so I think there's been a bit of a hike overall.
It's got to be really questionable whether the BSR remap can possibly be worth this outlay now. I have one and it is very good but I have the original lifetime agreement and I wouldn't pay what they're asking now.
The Regal EDS IPF (similar functions) is £577 - a lot cheaper though I've no idea how good it is.
Just my 2p.

Not a like for like comparison either!!
I thought £550 was alot of money but fair but I won't be investing in another at the new price!
I agree, BSR are pricing themselves out the market. I won't go BSR next time purely for that reason.
It will be Courtenay all the way. I have driven a Vectra 1.9 150 with the courtenay map, and I reckon it's the best re-map on offer at the moment for the 1.9.
They will also soon be offering a PPC type device to allow you to switch between tuned and standard. They also map them on the rolling road which is always best.
