    Default Track rod replacement

    As per my post here:
    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showpo...95&postcount=6

I'm looking for advise on replacing a track rod. Anyone done it, how easy is it etc.
Any step by steps on the site that I've missed (yes, I did search).

    Thanks.

I replaced mine for the MOT last year, fairly easy, here's a step by step guide:

    1. Remove road wheel.
    2. Undo nut from bottom of track rod end, undo track rod end securing nut on track rod, remove the track rod end, count the amount of turns it stakes to remove so when refitting it goes back near enough( tracking will need to be done after )
    3. Remove the clips that hold the steering rack gaitor on then expose the track rod end itself.
    4. Turn the wheel fully to the L/H/S, Undo track rod end,not sure on size could be 32mm but not 100% sure
    5. Refit in reverse order.

    Hope that helps..........

    Thanks.
Is that for the track rod end though?
I think the problem may be with the track rod itself.
