    Exclamation Brake pedal pulse

When I reverse out of my drive (which is more of a gentle down hill roll) I can feel a one off pulse feedback back through my brake pedal. Its not a big jerk but noticable on you foot as you rest your foot on the brake pedal while the car is rolling. It happens within the first couple of meters. My Vectra is a 3.2 auto 2004.

Just wondering if anyone else gets the same thing and if they know what causes the pulse.

    Cheers.

It is probably the abs/traction control doing its self checking routine and i think maybe because you roll out of your drive rather than have to use engine power that you notice the pedal vibrate , most peoples feet are not in contact with their brake pedal as they pull away for the first time as it is usually on the accelerator pedal.

I think it's normal mate as it's always done it.

The ABS on our old Commodore used to do that but I haven't noticed it on my ESP-equipped Vectra. NRG, does your Vectra have ESP? I'm wondering if the ABS unit in Vectras with ESP is made by a different company to the one in Vectras without... The ESP units are made by TRW...

Good to hear that my Vectra is not the only one which does this. I have noticed that is does the same thing when rolling forward also. My guess was maybe hand brake adjustment but it shouldnt adjust when rolling forward. I have got ESP too. I could be the ABS or traction control reset?? Im not worried about it at the moment because some ****** smashed one of my windows to steal some clothes on the back seat and I have to fix that up now.
