Default Help car wont start. 2.2 dti

The car has been stood for nearly three weeks, went to start it today and the battery was flat (just clicked when I went to start it)

I have tried to jump start it but it fires then dies, it seems to have power now as it just turns over after that.

Help I need the car for monday

Does it die with the doner car still connected or is it when the leads are removed, if so the battery is so low it might need a good charge before it will allow the car to run.

it has been parked on a level ground. It dies whilst still connected to the jump car, maybe it needs more oomf and it just needs more charging. Maybe I have even flooded it?

It has a 3/4 full tank btw.

    Cheers

If you have a charger give it a boost if the battery from the doner car is the same or very similar swap them over to try the car before you spend any money on a new battery

Leave the jump leads connected and run the donor car for a few minutes. Earth lead connected to engine block. Then crank and crank and crank - I would dare bet it starts eventually.

Look to see if any white smelly smoke come out the back whilst you crank

When it eventually goes, leave the leads connected for another minute with both cars idling.

Then disconnect the leads and go for a spin in the Vec
