Save yourself the time, effort and probably some of the cost... check National Tyres and KwikFit. My 3.2 GSi done at National is just over £35 (10% discounted ordering online). I don't have to go round buying anything... don't have to dispose of the old stuff... and if anything goes wrong it's their problem, not mine.

TBH whilst that is a good price (assuming they use the correct longlife oil) I would still prefer to do it myself, as then I know it has been done properly and whilst it would also be a few quid cheaper to DIY (VX trade club prices) price wouldn't be what drives me to do it.

I wouldn't use flush either, don't see the actual benefit in it. You will need a T45 bit for the sump plug too and it can be quite tight and may require a bit of butchery - so a new one might be advisable.

If you know how to change the oil yourself, do so - don't trust Kwik Fit. Also, as above, if your engine is running fine, then there's no benefit to using a flush, you just risk disloging debris into critical places. You should only use the flush either as a last resort to fix a problem, or if it's been used every time the car has ever had an oil change, therefore there will be less debris in there to dislodge.
