PC security

I am online courtesy of a laptop from Alex

but at the moment i dont have any security on it, anti virus etc.

What is the best company to use and does anyone know if any of this stuff is available free

or am i going to have to pay for it

These used to do a free version of anti-virus software. But the all important updates were free as well - but I havent checked lately.....

There are loads of different "anti virus" programmes about Steven. Try THIS and see how you get on with it. It has won awards for the last couple of years

IMO www.avast.com offer free registration. They antivirus software is good. Picked up viri that norton couldnt detect. Been running avast on 4 of my pcs for about 2 years now without a single problem.

Agv from Grisoft, see links above, and ZoneAlarm for the firewall, plus Lavasoft adaware, cos if you've been on the net, you will have a ton of it to shift, make sure you do the scans once it's all loaded, and best of all, all 3 are free.
