    Question Vauxhall Warranty

    Hi,

My car still has 2 years left on the Warranty and I keep hearing people telling me that its not worth anything as most things aren't covered!!

Does anyone know what this does and does not cover .... or where I can get a list from?

    Thanks!

I'd also be interested to hear this. As when you're buying the car they just quote a comprehensive three year 60,00miles warranty! I pretty sure they never mentioned it wasn't worth a toss after a year!
    Ken-tec FTW.

If it is the standard one (3 year old one) and not one bought afterwards it is OK as long as you service it at vauxhall and not an independant. We have now had 9 new vauxhalls in the past 10 years now and currently have 5, so we have had a few waranty claims....

Warranty is almost the same after the 12 months through to 3yrs. (excepting servicable items obviously)

Main exceptions on VX cars (unlike some others) is that there are some items which are only covered for 12 months, all the cars trim being the main biggie, ie. seats, dash, basically all trim finishes and seals.

I had a fault on the dash of my new Insignia where the material was not smooth, it looked raised like something had been trapped underneath when it had been covered (area about 1") , also the matt finish was peeling away on some trims too, and I was informed that if I wanted them fixed I needed to do so within the first year, after that it was too late.
I never bothered, mainly because it would involve a whole new dash being fitted. I sold the car back to VX after just 3 months...worst car I've ever owned!.

The warranty as robsey said covers lots of items, I have had new auto windscreen sensor, auto gearbox, EGR and Inlet manifold, DAB radio and air conditioning radiator all in all a lot of money but thankfully covered by Vx parts and labour I am glad I had it

It depends on what service book you have, most only list the basic terms

What you need to do is visit a VX dealership and ask for a Network Q warranty cover document
The front section covers cars still under OE warranty or up to 60K miles, and this is what you are after

Basically, everything EXCEPT wear and tear items
The only addition in the first year are trim and brightwork items (seats, etc)
