Default How do I illuminate my heated seat switches? Please help!!

I've bought some heated seat switches for my '06 SRi, fitted them but they don't light up as i expected. Can anyone tell me how to wire them up just so they illuminate with the others? I'm guessing the grey / yellow wire needs to be connected to the tc switch or something which already lights up but is there an easier way? All I want to do is make them illuminate when the lights are on. I know the fuses for the heated seats are in the glove box in the boot, so is a case of just fitting the fuses? The plugs are already behind the switches so must be connected somewhere. Any ideas or comments would be helpful..cheers!

If you are only fitting the switches, then you would need to make up a link wire to the brown for chassis ground and another for the grey/yellow for illumination.

if you are fitting the seat heating assembly, then they will illuminate when the seating units have been tech 2 instaled successfully.

Again if just the switches are being fitted for "effect", then link to the cig lighter illumination connection.
This will then not affect the canbus system

Nice one robsey! Didn't want to have to go joining any wires if there was an easier way of illuminating them, but you've confirmed my question, will get on to it then at some point, just want them to light up for effect, not botherd about wiring heated seat pads or anything...

I dont know what spec of Vectra / Siggy that you have, but if you do not have a rear lighter / charge socket in the back of the centre armrest (fitted on design spec and above), then...
There may be a three pin plug taped up under the covering panel near to the hand-brake...this will have black, brown and grey/yellow wires for the rear lighter / charge socket.

Just need to connect to this via two male spade connectors (one for each wire that you need obviously)
