Dont you still have to put the key in tho and have ign on?, might aswell turn it all the way...
Remote starting however would be awesome...
You would yeah, to deactivate the steering lock etc. but it would be nice to have a button that lights up to press though lol
i have thought of doing this for a while now
This is done quite easily...just need to short out two pins on the ignition switch...
I worked out the ignition barrel connector pins on the CIM module as shown in the image on this thread in the link below. look on page 6 for the circuit board image.
You will need to short out pins 3 and 5, where 5 is a permanent live feed and 3 is feed to the starter system.
Just one word of caution, pin 7 is also shorted to pin 5 and therefore is live during "ignition live" condition, but not during the starter switch position.
It is not certain whether there is a reason for pin 7 being isolated during the cranking process. Well I don;t knoww the reason anyway.

IMO, This would be pointless if you still have to put the key in and turn to pos 2. I really cannot see why anyone wouyld waste their time, effort and money on such a worthless thing.
Put key in, turn to pos 2 and the move hand to push button start button..... WTF?
remember each to their own, i think it looks good imo.
do it john. robertson!! seems kind of simple if you have the electrical know-how. and people are going on about the key. even cars with push start you still have to put somthing in the car be it a key or a card so its the same idea.
Only problem would be trying to decide where to put the button!! and what style!
do it! and make a good how2 so i can copy it haha
lol do it do it
buy a megane
