This is what I got last year for my 2.0DTI 04, had no problems since, really easy to fit also.

Thats the one i going to order if cant find another one. What was the symptoms of your EGR valve problem. My car sometimes, cuts out when coming to a stop at junctions or traffic lights, and the revs start bouncing up and down. I think its either the EGR or the MAF.

    Cheers

The EGR went on my 2.2 DTi and the spanner light kept comming on and engine went into limp mode.

Tech2 at work confirmed it was the EGR throwing up the fault codes.

VX wanted about £265 plus vat and they were out of stock so sourced one from a breakers with 3 month warranty for £50.

Took 10 mins to fit and I have had no problems since. Approx 10k miles covered on the second hand unit.

I would recomend getting a tech2 diagnostic to pin point the fault as my car never stalled etc otherwise you could spend £212 ++++ and still have the fault.

    All the best

    Jon

Mine always flashed the EML and went into limp mode on the motorway, I did get it Tec2'd. And if i can recall it was a P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction. Got the same even after I cleaned it. Prob gone after replacement with the one from Vauxcentre.

Check Big Sig's thread on this, http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...ht=error+codes

    Good luck

Wouldn't pay for a Tech2 to read the codes ever. Cheaper buying a code reader from Argos/Ebay/where-ever and doing it yourself. It pays for itself the first time you use it and you even get to keep it to use again!

Problem is that very few cheap code readers work with the dti, I used one that cost 70 quid and it still didn't work

Ive had the car on op-com twice and it comes up with no fault codes. So sort of stuck.

Done it again today was parked in a garage, got in the car started, revs started bouncing and car jugging gave it a bit of a rev still doing it reversed out the garage, having to keep my foot on the accelerator or the car would nearly stall. Cleaned the EGR and inlet manifold on saturday. Been ok untill today then started doing it seems to do it more when the car has got to running tempriture.
