Default The siggy ,s playing up

The siggy has just started playing up , on tick over the revs are constantly dropping and resurging back to normal tick over , this has happened a couple of times in the recent past but usued to clear after a blip of the throttle now it is constant , could not see to do too much tonight but i did disconnect the electric connection of the maf surprise surprise tick over returned to normal.
now does the problem lye with the maf going t/u or is the problem somewhere else

I have a similar problem to this Bob, when I start the car first thing, after about a minute the revs start to fluctuate up and down by about 150RPM.

After another minute or so it seems to clear itself

Just had a recurrence of this problem again over the weekend , it does not seem to hold to any pattern ie it can play up when engine is cold or hot . what is ocuring is the butterfly in the manifold is closing and opening of its own accord causing the engine to breifly stall . anyone else come across this as i thought this had been cured once.
