Default Would these cause cutout? as though ignition been turned off

P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
    P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
P1481 Fan Secondary Low With High Fan On

I have just done the brake/accelerator fault code test and these are the codes it brought back

I recently had a thread on this forum about my cut outs located here: http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100667

As stated in the old thread i thought (hoped more like) that it was the battery at fault but ive just had the engine cut out on me once again today on a very busy dangerous road and i am not willing to move the car again till it is sorted or until i pour a gallon of petrol over it and set it alight

It cut out as though i had turned the key... no juddering etc just a clean cut off. It then wouldnt start (i tried it about 6-7times) so i turned all head unit/blowers off etc, got out of the car to see if i could see a problem under bonnet, got back in and tried once again and it started no problem... Is this some thermal/heat issue?

Can any of the codes i have given cause this problem? (the transmission one sounds major :/ )

I have the car booked in for proper diagnostics on monday but im getting really worried as i can't afford a £1k bill... would like to be prepared for worst case scenario

    thanks

    Engine : 3.0D V6

P0335 MAY cause engine to not fire (some engine do and some don't), and failing during running would result in clean cut off if so.

Check the sensor wiring, plug and cleanliness...

P0700 - maybe depends, can't really comment as I'm not an auto transmission expert

P1481 - Engine Coolant Blower Motor Relay 1 Malfunction, DEFO not cause engine cutoff.

I had exactly the same problem - but teh codes given out were ECU needs reprogramming/replacing. Anyone long and short of it - replacing the ECU after every other test was the result - i also had a service (£140 ish) and the total bill came to £850 that included over hunderd for electrical tests and teh service charges.- if it looks like its going to be replacement ECU dont have the tests first just get it done and it should be around the £500 mark - harsh pill to swallow - i hope its not the same fault for you mate. but mine would just cut out with no warning and then start again after a little bit. I alos had teh emissions warnign light come on whnever the fault was present (although there was nothing wrong with the emissions system)

Yes that sounds the same problem i am having but i really hope it isnt

I really cant justifiy to myself spending over £500 to repair a £3k car + i cant really afford it at the moment being a landscape gardener work isn't exactly busy with recent weather conditions :/

Unfortunately i think it will be a case of selling up and getting a different car if it is the case really hoping its not, but we'll see monday
