    Question Electric Rear Windows?

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if Vauxhall will fit electric windows in the back of a car that doesn't come with these as standard?

If so do you know how much it would be?

    Thanks!

    hi m8
if you have the wiring in the body loom then they should do it.
a guy on here went do the dealers to have this done but they couldn't do it because he didn't have the correct wires in the body loom.
you can also add the wires as we did this to his veccy and got it all working even tho vauxhall said it cant be done.
not sure how much they said it would be but give "familyguy" a pm and he should be able to tell you how much.

Mine's an 03 SXi and cost me about £150 to do in total and took me about 3 hours (bearing in mind I was taking pictures for the how to all the way through too so it took longer).

A lot of it depends on how much of the wiring your car has in it already of course. Most of the earlier ones have the full wiring apart from the doors, some of the earlier ones and most of the later ones don't which adds a lot of time to the job as you have to add wires to the main loom.

That's my main reason for wanting them ... the kids!!!

I've had a look at the how to and not really something I'd have the expertise to try myself to be honest!!!

I might give them a ring ...i'm also thinking about getting sat nav ... am I able to get this fitted?

mines a 2002 and had no wires, not one in the loom.
thats why mine took a weekend adding all the ##### wires

its not hard job fitting the windows and its a peace of mind with the kids in the back as you can control the rear windows from the front.

Does anyone have pics of where the wires come from, looked at the loom at my rear doors and only has one pin on each multi plug, were do u run the wires from??? really fancy this mod. Its a 2004 1.9 cdti, every other multi plug is there heated front and rear seats, roof wires etc.
