    Default Signum FogLight Bulb Replacement

    Hi All,
Owners manual says that "I should entrust bulb replacement to my dealer". -
Not at £50+ a time as a friend of mine did. Has anyone done this ?. I presume its a minimum of wheel arch liner off, or is it more complex ?

    Cheers

    SJ

A reliable source says the procedure goes something like this:

    To remove bulb
    1. Unscrew cover (1)
    2. Release retaining spring (2)
    3. Remove bulb
    4. Disconnect wiring harness plug (3)

Then do the reverse to put the new one in.

If it's anything like the GSi (MY2003) then it should be easy(ish).

I managed to squeeze under the front bumper (head and shoulders) without having to even jack the car up.

As per the piccies, just unscrew the cap and disconnect the wire from the chasis.

    HI,

I have changed the fog lamps in my signum like in the pics, but you dont have to remove the wheel liner! only an access cover under the bumper, you need to unscrew one torx bolt and the flap pulls down to uncover the back of the fog lamp!
I had to jack up the car to allow safe access!

    hope this helps
    Woodsta!

Other option... and really a lot less knuckle grinding.

    1. Remove the front bumper - Explained HERE - takes 15 mins max.
    2. Full access to the foglights - no covers, no reaching through floor trays, under the car, through wheel liners etc.

Reason I prefer this method is that I can never keep my fingers off the bulb whilst fiddling through the wheel arches.
