    Unhappy Should i sell it

Put up a thread not long ago, about me having a knackered slave cylinder, well had it fixed about a month ago. Jobs a good un, everything back to normal. Apart from about 2 weeks ago i was having problems again, just thought it was air in the system, so took it to a local garage to get bled, and there was loads of air in there, once it was bled i thought that was the end of it as the clutch had plenty of pressure. (it worked for about a week)

Now here's the problem, its gone wrong again, no pressure in the clutch again, and lost all my gears (again) until i pump the clutch to get a bit pressure.!

I have no oil leaking anywhere, and the reservoir is full to the level. Anybody got any ideas as to what it could be?

Took it to the garage via the r.a.c and the guy there thinks the dmf is bust, can someone clear that up for me. Pulling my hair out with stress at the moment.

Worried as to how much this is going to cost Any help would be much appreciated.

    Ian

Just thinking about it a bit more, would the master cylinder cause it?

typically, if the seals are knackered in either the master or the slave cylinder, the fault can occur.

Had the same issue with a Peugeot 206 and replaced both

if you have changed master cyl unlikely its that again could be slave in gearbox or connector on gearbox little cap between pipe and elbow could be leaking also check pipe from master cyl joint mmust have leak somewhere for it to loose pressure . goodluck

    Thanks for the reply's.

It was the slave i had changed, not the master. Which makes me think its the master cylinder. Will see tomorrow.

The problem is def the master cyclinder. It is letting air get into the hydraulic system. hydraulic fluid cant be compressed when you press the clutch pedal that way it pushes the slave cylinder out allowing the clutch to work correctly. If there is air in the system and you press the clutch then the air can be compressed which stops the slave cylinder from pushing out which causes problems. I would try removing the clutch master cylinder and replace all the seals, bleed up and try again.

Does sound like master cylinder which isn't a small job to change unfortunately.

Well i found out what it is, the pipe that goes into the slave cylinder in the gearbox is bust. Its the bit that connects to the rubber piece, so have had't to order the part.

    Thanks for all your input.
