    Default Replacing DMF

    Hi folks,

I've recently aqcuired an 70k 04 plate Vectra Sri 1.9 150 CDTI Estate.
The clutch needs changing as its slipping.

Do you recomend the DMF gets changed as well?

I've got the Job priced up to include the DMF, but if its something that doesn't actually need changing I won't bother.

Oh, and does anyone know wether its likely to have a DPF?

    Cheers,
    Rik

From what I've read it's usually the other way round the DMF goes and you replace the clutch at the same time. It might be worth searching the forum for people describing the sounds of a failing DMF and if you can hear it even slightly then it would definitly be worth changing at the same time.

yes, you do have a DPF. Shouldn't be any problem unless it short journeys everywhere.
