    Default Bumper Removal

    A massive thanks in advance;

    I'm half way through taking the facelift bumper off to fit fogs/hids/indicators. I'm using this guide to get the bumper off.

    I've taken all the bolts out - 2 in each wheel arch and 4 in the slam plate area, and the 4 lugs from the undertray but it feels like it is still connected near the front wings, the bottom of the bumper where it meets the wheel arch is loose, but not at the top, is there another hidden bolt somewhere or do I just need a lot of elbow grease to pull it off - I don't want to damage it!

    Thankyou thankyou thankyou for any help.

    If its like the pre-facelift, there is no bolts, but its a clip then you (with a little bit of force) pull the bumper away and it unclips itself allowing you to remove it.

    There's a clip assembly that you need to undo first mate. Basically, when you tighten it when putting it on, the screw pulls it all together (there's a movable bit that locks it) What you have to do is put the top screw back in a bit and push it forward to disengage he lock, then undo the screw and take it out...

    ****, if that's the case then I might have ****ed my bumper... it didn't come off with elbow grease, so I locked my car, went up to the PC, came down and unlocked the car and it came off easily- must be a coincidence

    now to find the bolts to take my lights out

    If you look on the car at the top where the bumper attaches mate, you should see a sliding mechanism which the bumper connects on to the slides back to lock it in place...

    Just got it all back on again, one side of the mechanism seemed to have released whilst the other hadn't meaning one was easy and the other awkward

    Thanks for the offer paul but done now Got it done in time to miss the rain that's just started.

    Could a mod possibly edit the thread title and remove the "URGENT:" please? As it isn't any more and don't want to mislead people ;p

    Looking much better now, silver indicators, white fogs rather than yellow and 4.2k HIDs
