Default Saab 93 Twin turbo straight swap?

I am under the impression that the Saab 1.9 is the same as the Vaux one, all apart from some minors parts here and there...but noteable the twin turbo they strapped to it, Would it be possible to take the twin from the Saab and replace my single one? I may be forgetting several elements here, but please feel free to fill the gaps in my knowledge.

Everything is possible, depends on how deep your pockets are. i very much doubt this would be a cheap swap.

The 1.9 single turbo in the 9-3 is virtually identical to the Vectra one, but the twin-turbo one isn't identical with just an extra turbo and nothing else.

What would be a stronger replacement for the standard turbo? Or would it be better going for a Hybrid?

    A z-net

They will run 240bhp on the std turbo, why do you want to change it?

The twin-turbo is in the Insignia isn't it? It still has the same bhp and torque figures of the Saab (180-190bhp and 295lb/ft (400Nm) torque) mainly because GM haven't yet got a suitable manual gearbox/clutch that could handle the potential extra grunt.

I can't imagine that it would be a straight swap.

Big one and small one - small one gets rid of the turbo lag, second provide the oomph...
