Default running after new inlet manifold

1.9cdti 150, end of last year had new inlet manifold due to swirl valves linage u/s. initial prob was that em light on and garage read fault codes as dpf over fill, they also noticed manifold prob.

new manifold fitted, tech 2 on dpf, then got car back.

Question, i feel that car is slightly sluggish from the off, geting 39 m/gall not 42 as before the work. this may be due to winter air and electrics running more, heaters etc??

I asked the garage when they fitted manifold did they need a new motor that turns the swirl valves or did it need any setting up, they said no, is this right?

I have never seen my car do a dpr regen, car runs cold most of the time, i think usual on deisels? garage did tech 2 nov 09 haven't noticed regen since then, took car down motorway saturday about 40 miles keeping speed at about 70 ish, so revs high enough, had trip comp on miles per gal instant readout so see if car did a regen, nothing. I am concerned that dpf will block again, if car does regen on tech 2 does that mean car is working ok??

I was told the same thing last week mate. Had a new Inlet fitted last Wed and was told 100% i didnt need to change the motor. The head Vx
mechanic told me he'd never fitted a new motor with the Inlet manifold.

    Default

I had new manifold & egr fitted just before Xmas under extended warranty & after they'd finished I found they didn't change the actuator either. I showed the Service Manager the Pierburg pdf which he in turn quoted to Vx warranty, who then authorised the additional work & parts - can't imagine Vx agreeing to all the extra work & cost if they could get away with it
