Default Vectra steering problems CDTi 150

I have had my Vectra CDTi 150 exclusive 57 Plate since December last year. The problem is the steering pulls to the left and feels heavy to the extent your arms ache. The tracking and tyre pressures have been checked at Kwik-fit and the car has had 2 visits to a vauxhall main dealer, both times it has come back vauxhall tell me there is nothing wrong,I have had a 55 plate vectra 2.2 SRi petrol and that was fine.
I wondered if anybody else had had similar problems.

Take it to a specialist in alignment that does the Hunter 4 wheel alignment as the rears can seriously affect the handling but first check that your tyres are not directional and fitted on your car the wrong way round.

Did you sort the problem out DWO? My 54 plate Vectra does exactly the same. Stiff power steering and pulls to the left even after tracking has been done. My steering wheel is slightly off centre aswell when driving straight. Not sure what to do.

I had the same problem until yesterday when I got the Hunter alignment done... all sorted now - well worth the £75

I have the same problems with my Vectra 58, 1.8. The steering has been playing for quite a while now.

First, I when to the VX dealer to check the steering system, as apart from all the problems DWO described there was a free play in the steering wheel.
I have got my steering rack changed under warranty, also tracking and wheel balancing. This only solved the problem with the free play. The steering wheel now is much better, but I still have the other problems :

    - pulls to the left
    - vibrations in the steering wheel while driving 70 - 80 mph
    - the front of the car is very unstable on braking,
    - the steering wheel vibrates a lot on braking.
    - when I pass through a pothole the steering wheel turns sharply left or right.
    - When I drive straight and let my hands of the wheel, I can see how the steering wheel turns it self to the left.

So, I when for 4 wheel laser alignment with Hunter machine, but no change at all.

What should i do next? The VX dealer says that they cant find anything wrong.

I will appreciate any advice. Thanks

    confused

My 55 plate does exactly the same as above, to a T. I hope someone else has some more infomation on this subject. I feels like there's loose nuts and bolts within the steering and directly behind the wheels, but hall is deemed to be okay?

    Very strange.

Could it be a warped disc?

A whole mix of symptoms there....but if any of you have cars where bumps and ruts in the road seem to throw the car around, almost like strong sidewids do on a motorway, then it might be worthwhile changing the track rod ends.
