Angry Dreaded VX Locking Wheel bolts

Have suffered the same as many other members here with the dreaded VX locking wheel bolts. Car has failed its MOT due to the handbrake not functioning on one side. Tried to remove the wheelnut but the stupid socket bust. Have been to local tyre place who tried to loosen the bolt but to no avail, they suggested a visit to the VX dealer. So off to Marshalls of Hitchin who were just great. They spent around 30 minutes with the master set (They do exist) trying to match up with my bolts but to no avail, although they agreed they are VX orginals. So now up the swanny, MOT expires Thursday and I cant get the wheel removed to sort handbrake out....

Problem with the halfords sockets is the vx locking wheel nuts have an outer sheath that spins round...prevents thieves using things like this to remove them...if you can post a picture of the socket, someone on here might have the same or spare one??

I will take it to the MOT centre that tested it and see if they can help as they are a garage as well.

THIS is how you do it mate, when the key bends it forces the key off the nut as you turn, my method in the link above works a treat Use the old locking nut and away you go.
