    Exclamation my vectra c 1.9cdti 150

can someone please help me i have a vectra 1.9cdti estate and the car with the spanner light came up on my car cause lack of power. i took it to a garage to get a fault code, but there were unable to get any codes. where i drove away from the garage that light has gone powe is back but still jerky at low revs but now i have the engine symbol on all the time. in the manual it says in engine/ exhaust emissions.
does anyone have any ideas? i was thinking egr valve?
please help as i use the car for work.

Prime suspect would be the EGR (I'll not mention swirls just yet), yours being the estate it will have a DPF which can cause these kind of symptoms - but EGR would be my first port of call to check.

diesel particle filter. you really need to know what the fault code is, if the engine light is on then there will be a code.

Have a look in the how to section there is some info on how to read fault codes for free, or see if someone local to you has op-cop or tech2 that can read the code.

The dpf is part of the exhaust system, it looks quite similar to a catalytic converter.

P1901 is 'Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor' - this points to the DPF.
There should also be a bit more txt; e.g. High/low pressure/voltage or figures not plausible or hose

have just had vauxhall on phone dpf sensor need replacing but also saying ecu faulty they quoted me £900 to replace the ecu.
do you think the ecu fault could be down to dpf fault?
