Thumbs up Well, I've fitted my HID's Direct kit today.....

As the title says, my HID Direct kit came today! I ordered the 35w 5000k kit. Dead simple to fit, took about 45 mins in total, struggled to find a place for the drivers side ballast, but am removing the bumper soon to do another job so I'll wait until then to fit it in a better place. Tried them first before fitting them properly to see if I'd have any issues with bulb warnings or flickering..and I have to say so far so good I didn't have to use the metal bulb holders that come with it, the bulbs just clipped in place and I didn't even have to fit the warning cancelling capacitors you get with them which is odd...so guessing the ballasts have something built in to prevent errors occuring?? Anyway, no issues as yet, so will have to wait until tonight before I can see if there are any problems. Took some photo's but they don't do the kit any justice! The photo of the front of my car shows the HIDs on, but appears slightly yellow in the picture for some reason, though they don't look like this when you see them. Will try and get a picture of them on later in the dark. Anyway, thanks to all those who gave their advise on here, let's hope all goes well with them!! Happy days!

Top marks for getting the 5000k ones; too many people on here complain their standard headlights are rubbish and then they go and buy bluey 8000k HIDs....

Yeah, as 8K HiDs are no brighter than any halogen bulb

So you are saying top marks because he bought bulbs that YOU like..?

Top marks for anyone buying HiDs regardless of colour temperature as they are ALL better than halogen bulbs
