    Default strange warning light vauxhall dont no what it is

    does any 1 no what this is? my rear pads are realy low could it be that my diagnostic comp doesnt seem to pick it up either

    sound i thought thats wot it wud be so wen i put my new pads on tomorrow will the light automatically go or will it need clearing with my comp?

    As far as im aware the indicator is only linked to the front drivers side brake pads.

    When you renew your pads,buy a sensor from stealers and refit light will dissapear ,no need for tech 2.

    its a con more than likley you have to buy the wire which brakes when you change pads ,only about £15 my dad has just joined the wires and it goes out but obviously you know when your pads are quite low i personally would buy it but on my vec the previous owner just left it now mines on all the time

    Ok, to clarify:

    The warnign light is for the front brake pads. If sensor works by being worn down when the pads are worn to break the cicuit, so when replacing the pads you need a new sensor, or as mentioned above you simply strip and attach the two wires together. This is what I did, as I refused to waste £10 on a sensor that I can do the job of by simply USING MY EYES...

    The rear pads do not have a sensor on them.

    its the front passanger side thats the only ware indicator on the vectra
    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info
