Why bother? Since I fitted the 35w 6000k kit in my dipped beams, you switch on the front fogs and they make no difference.... the HIDs are just too damn good!

For the couple of times we have fog in a year, will anyone actually notice (or care) what colour they are?

ps, I thought they were H3 bulbs, like all Vx front fogs use.

    Definitly H3's.

Big Dave, I think it's more for say having them on at a show or for taking pics and you don't want lovely white-blue dipped/main/sidelights and then horrible yellow fogs. Plus I'm sure I'm not in the minority for having my fogs on down country lanes at night time, very useful.

If you've got dipped beam HIDs, then you won't need your fogs on as well.

If I meet anyone coming toward me with their fogs on, they get a faceful of main beam (providing no one is behind them or in front of me).

Fogs seem to illuminate more to the very sides of the road in front of your car than main beam do. They light up the pavement area right to the left of you and the side of the other lane. After hitting 3 rabbits on the way to Cornwall and back I find them very useful.

Why do you main beam them if it's not raining meaning the ground is wet and their fogs are correctly aligned? I find that unless the road is wet for the fog lights to reflect back up then the fogs are just as bright or even less than dipped beam.

Disclaimer: Just so you know, I don't drive with my fogs on everywhere like Mr. BMW.
