    Default Let the work commence!

I took the car into the VX bodyshop yesterday and work started!

I'll try to do a running update this week providing I can get to the body shop during the week.

But heres the first lot of pics.

First, all the new trim for the bumper, going to remove the SRi grill's and go back to Signum, with a colour coded OPC top section. I think this will look better than the Chrome.

In the bodyshop, firstly the front being stripped ready for the new paint.

    The the rear.

Sorry some of the pics, I really need to get a new camera!

New rear bumper/bumper iron and parking sensors. I had a nice lady nudge me in the back at the beggining of December.

OK, a few more pics for you as the work is progressing!

Car in the oven ready for paint, the new rear bumper and new grill also in there ready. Glad I removed the headlights now.

    New Parking Sensors

Front Bumper, all stone chips removed and primed and prepped.

Here we have the bonnet, totally stripped to bare metal, apparently it will have a rust preventing etch primer to begin with, then primed and painted.

Also here is the rear bumper bottom skirt, front spoiler, tailgate plinth.

So all coming along well! Can't wait until Saturday to get it back and detailed!

If all goes to plan, the graphics guy is coming alond as well to re-do the 3mm silver pin stripe!

Looks like its coming along very nicely

Seeing the bonnet in bare metal must be a little daunting
