started to hear a very distinct flapping noise coming from the dmf when the cars idling. No problem driving it as yet but went to get a quote on fixing it anyway. got quoted 620 quid with new clutch fitted aswell which is what he recommends.

Does everyone get the clutch fitted with the dmf as i think my clutch is fine as i can roll down my drive in fourth on tickover and pull the clutch up and it pulls the car up no problem with no slipping so what would you do?

leave it for now let it develop!, mine has always had a feint rattle on tick-over / intermittent, but rattles when switched off without my foot on the clutch, i now turn the engine off with the clutch depressed as i leave it in gear always, therefore its safely parked and it don't annoy me when turned off.
