Cutting out

Just been driving back from Vx cos they owe'd me money

On way back my vectra all of sudden seempt to lose power. I then realised it had actually cut out and all power steerin etc went.

It's happend a few more times since.

About 5 days ago i changed my battery but it seemed really small so i rang the motor factors up again ands they confirmed it was the correct battery. After this has all happend today i went down to actually see the motor factor again and it turns out they gave me a much smaller battery than my 3.2 actually requires so ive just changed them over to the larger one

Do the cut outs sound like they could have been caused by the battery being the wrong one? It seems alot more pokey now ive changed to the correct one (could be in my head)

Also any idea what i can wedge the battery with which is better than wood at the back? lol because my thread in the plastic, in which the plastic block bolts into has all worn down :/ so ive had to wedge it which isnt really ideal because the block isnt able to fully secure it from sliding backwards and forwards
