Default My EGR Fail ( part numbers needed )

So day started off going to get the new motor for the broken wipers.. got that done and fitted in about an hour. not sure about the scuttle panels fit afterwards though ah well.
Then i thought what a great idea ill do the EGR up up the how to and start to pull bits off the car. the pics are nothing like the 120BHP engine. but ill give it a go after all, every one said how easy it is. SO loose both metal gaskits and the gasskit on the hose at the bottom. But the hole of the EGR was full of soot and it did need a good clean. same i wont know if it works

So guys can i have part numbers for them. two for the large hole and the two smaller to bolt on and the one for the bottom of the hose.

Hi, you dont have to change the metal gaskets unless they are damaged. I have cleaned mine about 3 times and re-used them with no leaks. Carb cleaner is the best bet but make sure you dry it completely before re-fitting to avoid EM lights. Well worth cleaning the boost sensor if your EGR is like that too.

No pressure washes or special waxes needed for this job !

If you are going to change the washers do a search for the Fiat gasket kits - they do restrictive replacements that keep the soot build up much lower in the valve.

Maybe the people who viewed the thread don't know the answer so that's why you didn't get a response. Why can't you just go to your vx dealer and ask for the gaskets you need? That's what I did when I did mine, they will have a blown up diagram so you can see which ones you need.

They are about a £1 each. Not rocket science is it?
