    Default Replacement for the Vec

I was initially looking out for a Audi A4 3.0 TDi Quattro S-Line, but I've now had a close look at the BMW 530d M sport and I'm in love.

Yeah yeah, I know it's a BMW but you can get a used 54 plate for circa 25k. That's a lot of car and technology for the money. Plus it doesn't need a Tuning box (trust me).

    Liking it very much.

Have been looking at a 53 plate 320D Sport in Estoril Blue as a replacement for mine as I've had a gutfull of it and Vx.

At least BM know how to look after its customers.....

Personally, I don't like the rear end styling - and you'd need to get it booked in to get the indicators reconnected! - but they are meant to be very nice cars. I'd still go for the Audi if it was me! Audi could very well be my next car.

I'll be having an Audi if the BM goes before I get chance to put things in order. Will be an A4 S Line with a Diesel engine. Hopefully the 2.5 V6.

I think the 5 series is a cracking looking car now it's been around a few years, but it does depend on the wheels.

The 5 series is excellent Alex, we have a 530 petrol in our office.

If you have the chance go for it.

The 3.0D from BM is an awesome engine as well.

Got some bad news for you mate. All over the world they are falling way behind other euro makers in customer care satisfaction. My dealer isn't too bad but haver heard many horror stories especially from there in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France etc.

Nice looking car mate. Just be sure, that just like Veccies, 5-series need bigger wheel/tyres to look the goods

The M sport comes with 19" alloys as standard and really looks the part. I've not driven one yet, but I'm told it goes like stink but when floored it drinks fuel.

I've always liked the 5 series and to the uninformed eye the M sport looks like the M5. Plus it would fit in in the company car park

110% agree with the BMW, lovely car. Used to own a 330d and it was awesome. Had it as a company car for 6 months and it was the Sport version with the Alcantara seats. Had it superchipped which was a flash remap and it was a stonker. 6 cylinder sounded so smooth. 450miles to a tank driving it like a git and handled awesome

Love German cars I really do.

Audi is a nice car but I personally find the A4 just lacking something..... I can't put my finger on it. I like the simplicity of the interior in the BMW, yet you have everything within fingertip reach.

The A4 is a tad small for my liking too. Feels smaller inside than the Vec. I prefer a bigger car if buying a saloon.

Alot of car but naff stayling if you ask me. I am always dissappointed with the presentation of the interior of "luxury" cars. I guess what you paying for is performance.
