    Default Aftermarket Dump Valve

Sorry if i have put this in the wrong section but this will be my first post. I have just changed from a V6 Audi A4 to a Vectra 2.0t due to the Audi now being too old and i've always wanted another turbo'ed motor but i would like to fit a aftermarket dump valve. I have found that Forge Motorsport do a complete fitting kit and dump valve package but i really would like a loudish WHOOSH, does anyone know what these are like as i don't want to be spending £190 on something thats not going to make any difference. Cheers.

You don't need a dump valve in this engine, as it already has a turbo-bypass valve, which achieves the same result but uses a much more sophisticated method.

mate i have had baileys and forge,i now have the baileys dv36 trumpet twin piston one,but the forge custmer service is the best if it breaks send it them and they will fix it free or send you parts for free and the best sounding one is FORGE the only reason i have baileys is because it was the only one i could get on the day you can use any dump valve you want but make sure its a twin piston one

Each to their own I suppose.

Up to you if you want people pointing, then laughing, and muttering among other things "look at the chav who's just gone by in his car making silly ffffssstttt noises"

Its your car do what you like to it.

I personally prefer wastegate chatter but the dv's sound nice as well. Will make the throttle a bit jerky though.

Has to be a twin piston and you'll probly need a model specific fitting kit.

Get some BSR stage 3 while you're there - then you can have the performance to match the sound...

Personally I don't like them, they are so chavvy and offer no performance gain on the 2.0T Vectra as the standard by pass system is very effective.

I really like them- so much so i nearly sold my 1.9 cdti for a 2.0t for this reason alone!
