camshaft sensor???

Hi guys,

Wondering where the camshaft sensor is located on a 1.8 vec-c?
A mate needs too know as vxl want 150 quidbut he wants too do it himself,

its behind the cam cover on car if early 1.8 engine the top part comes off 2-3 bolts and sensor bolted in the middle of the 2 cam sprockets dead easy to do

Change cam and crank at the same time as it is very common for the new cam or crank to blow the other.

Easy, but access is a tad restricted. Use thread locking compound on the 2 bolts when refitting the sensor. Access can be imroved by removing the airbox. Not sure about a sensor change 'blowing' another sensor.....

How does he know it is the cam sensor that needs changing?
